Manchester is a city full of unique style, vintage finds, high end boutiques and all of the best high street brands. The best part? Most of the best shopping can be found right in the city centre.
It’s where you’ll find Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, and the entrance to the biggest city centre shopping mall in the entire country, Manchester Arndale. It’s the place to head if you’re interested in having it all under one roof. From Miss Selfridge and New Look to Topshop and Dorothy Perkins. It’s Manchester’s home to high street shoes, fashion, makeup and jewelry.

Head North of Picadilly Gardens for independent and vintage shopping. Here you’ll find a plethora of funky boutiques, record stores and quirky cafes. Afflecks Palace is a particularly great spot. An indoor market with four floors of serious vintage and unique fashion and accessories. Here on the weekend? Head over to Tib Street for the best vintage market in town.
While King Street used to be home to all of Manchester’s high-end fashion boutiques, things are starting to change. The Avenue, Spinningfields is the new home to the city’s luxury brands. It’s here you’ll find Emporio Armani, Jimmy Choo and Mulberry. There’s also top restaurants, gyms and art galleries to keep you entertained for the entire day.
A shopping guide to Manchester wouldn’t be complete without this mega-centre on the city’s outskirts. the Trafford Centre, like the Arndale, is a huge indoors shopping mall with all the best high street shops including department store favourites like Debenhams, John Lewis, Selfridges and Marks and Spencer.
