I’ve been dreaming about my Spring holiday to Paris for months. I’ve read article after article about what to pack, what the weather will be like, how not to look like a tourist and instead blend in with the Parisians. I’ve made packing lists and styled outfits specifically for this trip because: Paris! It’s the home of fashion and this travelling shopaholic wants to fit in while she peruses those beautiful boutiques.
Paris is the city of love, but for many, it’s also the city of fashion. On your visit to this romantic capital, you’ll see plenty of people walking around dressed in the most chic clothing. If you’re looking to experience the stylish side of this beautiful city then there are plenty of fashionable sites to head to.
Paris is well known as one of the best shopping destinations in the world, with its chic boutiques and range of designer shops, there really isn’t a better place for a luxurious shopping trip. Make the trip even more memorable by traveling to Paris on a beautiful, first class train from London’s St Pancras.
2005, The Marais, Paris
Rummage, rummage, rummage. Rifle, sort, keep, discard. Eagerly await more musty stock from the bin bag the shop owner is sorting through. Turn back to the rails and rummage some more.
I had just discovered the vintage shops in the Marais and would visit at least 1 every day of my week-long stay with a friend who was studying in Paris. That summer my suitcase came home stuffed with tea dresses, leather bags, chunky knits and thick waist belts. At less than 10 Euros per item they were all within my students budget.
